The Station House Hotel in Kilmessan, County Meath, is an award-winning, family-run boutique hotel set within a converted 19th-century railway junction. Located in the heart of the Boyne Valley, it is approximately 40 minutes from Dublin and serves as a gateway to historic sites like Newgrange, Trim Castle, and the Hill of Tara and was the location for todays real wedding.


Historical Charm & Grounds

Railway Heritage: Originally built in 1862, the property retains many original features from its time as a busy railway hub.


Estate: It is situated on 12 acres of manicured gardens and woodland, which are part of the Boyne Valley Garden Trail.


Unique Spaces: Notable features include The Turntable, a former locomotive turntable now used as an outdoor amphitheatre for ceremonies,

And it was here that we had our wedding today.


Music for the Ceremony was from Hazel Alexander violinist.

Ceremony Content: The couple had some poetry readings and did a Celtic Handfasting with the wedding party being the ones helping them to tie the knot.
